The "Edvard Kardelj" steam turbine factory recently received orders from Turkey for the delivery of 700 diesel irrigation units. The centrifugal pump, the manufacturer's product, gives 800 liters of water per minute at a height of 25 meters, which can indicate quite large plots of land.

The paper notes that Hugo Gazin was elected for director of "Yugoturbina". He came after the director, Colonel Luka Knezović.

After a long test and experiments, which showed a good result, the Steam Turbine Factory made the first quantity of artificial rain plant. The factory expects a certificate on the correctness of the plant, so it can start production of the first series of 700 such plants. This product will be exported to Middle Eastern countries, especially Turkey.

The weekly writes that the production of several steam turbines for the navy has started (Split shipyards and 3. maj, Rijeka) and equipment and machines for the production of diesel engines have arrived from Bregana.

The name "Yugoturbina" was first mentioned in the local press on April 16, 1954 in "Karlovački tjednik" ("Karlovac weekly") no. 16 from that year. The "Edvard Kardelj" factory is no longer mentioned because the company changed its name.
