d’Amico Sells MR Tanker

Company d’Amico Tankers has signed memorandum of agreement for the sale of 2005-built MR tanker. The 48,700 dwt tanker was built by Japan’s Imabari Shipbuilding. The vessel would be sold for a price of USD 14.1 million.

Company Navios Maritime Containers has taken delivery of the first of four 2008-built Panamax ships. Panamax APL Denver is a part of the agreement in which Navios agreed to acquire four containerships for a price of USD 96.8 million. As informed, the vessels are expected to be delivered by mid-December.

Navios Containers will operate a fleet of 20 vessels.

Euronav Sells VLCC Artois

Euronav has disposed Artois, the oldest carrier in its fleet. Tanker was sold for USD 22 million and it is scheduled to be delivered to its new owner in December.
 
Euronav’s fleet currently comprises 55 vessels.

Kea Trader Splits in Half

On November 12, on the Durand Reef, containership Kea Trader developed a crack and split in half. Critical break and heavy waves resulted in two units to sink. Now, they are being monitored by two tugs and anti-pollution specialists.
