Joe Adams from Sydney has published a paper entitled "Last-Minute Christmas Gift". "Breeze" was an old boat in very bad shape, which Joe Adams modified, restored, and returned to the sea. Its hull is made from stainless steel, which has a special design, perfect for gaining speed. The sails are sturdy, and in great condition. Breeze features a Witchard Marine diesel engine that can reach up to 50 horsepower. The engine, which was restored in early 2016, had undergone many tests and component replacements. The value of the vessel is estimated at about USD 30,000.
Zorya-Mashproekt announced the initial of test-benching a 32 MW Gas Turbine Engine in Mykolaiv, Ukraine, where it will undergo the complex of tests aimed at proving the serviceability of the newly designed components. What is important is the overall reliability and durability. The design efficiency of the engine comes to about 38.4%, which exceeds by 2.5% the efficiency of 25MW engines. Greater efficiency was achieved through the development of newer and more robust components and materials. Once the production of the 32 MW engine is complete, the final results will give the company a clearer picture that will help in the development of future models, says the company.
